Lace Dress
This fall we are seeing a trend with baroque inspired styles. I think ideas of taking something from a past period will continue into Fall 2013. I see more coming from the Victorian era and involving a fair amount of lace. The key piece for Fall 2013 will be a short lace dress, nothing too over the top. Leaving all the detail in the lace and not overworking the design.
Did you make that mood board? If you did it looks great! I hope the Victorian era inspiration comes back!

ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone else; I love lace dresses because they are so feminine and elegant. I almost bought a lace dress on ASOS not too long ago. It was a royal blue mini-dress, and the lace came all the way up to the neckline and had long sleeves. The only reason I didn't buy it was because it was sold out.... I do see the Baroque style coming back. Old styles always find their way back somehow! :)
I am a huge fan of lace and I really hope that it does become a trend for fall 2013. I think anything vintage has made a huge come back and lace has been brought back in various styles that i feel it's safe to say it wont be going out of style too soon.
