My favorite runway show for SS 2013 is the Louis Vuitton RTW show. I love the sixties inspired clothing, with beehive hairstyles and the checkerboard pattern shown throughout the collection.
What I also loved was the decor of the show itself. Four huge escalators with stripes painted on the steps ran down to mean an oversized yellow and white glass checkerboard floor that went perfectly with the clothing. The enormity of it all just made the show in my opinion.
The 60's look is almost like a trend now. H&M has been looking back to the 60's as well. Although, in my opinion, H&M doesn't compare to LV! The style is beautiful and geometric and colorful with a touch of hair sprayed hair and liquid liner. I think they did a fantastic job and the collection is amazing.
ReplyDeleteI love this show~ The idea of bring the model to the stage from escalators and the floor which matches the color and graphic of apparel are so wonderful! This simple but awsome patterns can bring a strong impact on vision.
ReplyDeleteI love this show! The use of the escalators is SOO creative! I also love how Marc gave it that mod-feel, so it goes with his spring collection as well.
